Things are never what they seem

Deep Rooted:

What started as just a financial freedom journey, started to highlight many other issues that were actually present in my life.I started to realise that it's more than just about the money, money was actually a very small detail of a bigger picture. It was as though money was only a symptom of what needed to be uprooted and addressed that was actually deeper!

As I started to walk on the financial freedom journey, I realised that some habits were attached to life experiences, some from family and some symptomatic of life experiences. So I had to start to strip right from deep within and not only bring to the surface . This is a continual part of the journey, the healing, the learning, developing new habits, the unlearning what you thought was just the way it ought to be. The financial journey dives deep, into your insecurities, your hurts and your traumas. It truly is deep rooted!

Whatever it brings to light, be sure that you look at each thing and seriously address the root of it all. The problem with not dealing with the root is that like a tree you can prune the branches, cut them off and for a while it may seem and look like the problem is sorted, the root will produce another branch, rooted as before. Therefore, the spending habits that you have though you may have fixed can start to come back and bear more leaves, for example, that once zero credit card will soon be maxed out again! WHY? Because the root is still the same! Deal with the root!

Give yourself time, grace and kindness to deal with each root, carefully and properly to uproot it. Seek help from professionals, your inner circle and if you are spiritual from God! The healing will come and your new habits will be reformed and succeed! That's why it's a journey and not a sprint. Many many many things to deal with, one stride at a time.
